In today's fast-paced world, traveling has become more accessible with various transportation options. However, factors such as work routines, budget limitations, and time constraints make it challenging for many people to fully embrace travel. As a result, there has been a surge in media channels, both on TV and online, offering content that inspires and informs potential travelers. One particularly captivating style of travel is cultural tourism, which invites audiences to explore hidden gems, new cultures, and unique experiences. This type of content resonates particularly well with millennials and working professionals, who seek fresh travel inspiration and novel experiences for their journeys.

Inspiration and concept

The concept of ‘PLACE’ draws from the connection between culture and space, reflecting the bond between human activities and their environment. The name symbolizes both the "place" of culture and the "pace" of a traveler. Inspired by the movement of people through public spaces, the project focuses on the dynamic interplay of cultural discovery and personal exploration.

To develop the concept, the focus shifted towards representing human diversity. Instead of using typical colorful schemes, we chose human skin tones as the central color palette, using five different shades to symbolize the richness of human diversity. The design also incorporated two graphic forms: a circle representing a top-down view of a human figure and rounded-edged lines symbolizing human shadows. These elements were shaped to reflect both the cultural diversity and the dynamic flow of human activity. The two shapes were integrated into the logo design, combining straight and curved lines to form the channel's name. This fusion reflects the dynamic flow of human activity and cultural diversity central to the project.

The communication design focuses on blending striking photography with a minimalist graphic style. The photos are asymmetrically centered, drawing attention as the main visual element. We created various design formats in both protrait and landscape orientations for different uses, ranging from large banners to smaller posters, ensuring adaptability across contexts.

Mobile application

The application primarily serves as a streaming platform available on both mobile and web. Users can access and watch content through the app. The design features a clean white background with brown text, giving it a modern aesthetic. It focuses on a user-friendly, minimalist layout, complemented by high-quality photography and a well-controlled mood for a sleek and simple experience.

TV Program announcement

The design is divided into two main components: video motion and graphic overlays. The video moves smoothly, while the graphic elements, featuring the announcement details, capture attention with a transparent gradient background.

This project focuses on the design and development of a mobile and website streaming application aimed at providing users with a seamless cultural travel experience. The app features a user-friendly interface with modern and minimalistic design elements, using soft motion graphics and high-quality photography. It serves as a content platform where audiences can easily access and enjoy diverse cultural experiences, with an emphasis on simplicity and an engaging user experience. The design combines both visual appeal and functionality, offering a smooth and intuitive journey for users to explore new destinations, cultures, and inspirations.
